Arkona performs a very diverse type of pagan metal, from elegant gothic parts to fast and furious pagan metal blasts. Never chaotic, always chatchy and melodic. Some (parts of) tracks are authentic Russian folk. Lyrical inspiration is found in the glory of the ancient Rus.
  Arkona’s debut ‘Vosrozdenie’  (in English ‘Rebirth’ or ‘Renaissance’)  was recorded in 2004. It was the first of so far 5 very well received pagan metal albums.
