Metalcharter is bringing you another great song, and the first straight up BLACK METAL song in any rhythm GAME EVER!!
Bornholm hail from Hungary, and play a great brand of pummelling melodic black metal which utilizes all the hallmarks of the genre (tremolo picked guitars, crazy bass lines, and frantic blastbeats), but also add some unique touches to the genre (in this particular track we have some clean vocal phrases, as well as the awesome addition of the trombone in the backing section).
With this one we are very happy to be able to get away with charting all the double bass - the quickest bass parts are right at the beginning, and since we have occasionally managed to combo that whole section using one pedal, we're confident that it is doable, and should be a fun challenge for the elite level drummers out there.
The track is off their recent (late 2009) album "March for Glory and Revenge" released on Vic Records, and it's sure to challenge the stamina of even the best plastic instrument bashers out there! The bassguitar lines are specially for this song re-recorded, by no-one less then Hjules (formerly Sin of Kain and nowadays bass player in Bornholm and coverartist for Gravedigger, Annihilator, Destruction etc etc).
It is currently available only on the Xbox 360 and only through the Rock Band Network at a bargain 80MSP. For a preview, here is a You-Tube movie:

Chicago based metallers Against the Plagues have announced their new album "Decoding the Mainframe" will be released via Vic Records on May 31st, 2010. Against the Plagues' co-founder Varyen Chylinsky states: "I am very excited to announce and confirm that we have signed with Vic Records. As a result of this cooperation, we have decided to release our official album, 'Decoding the Mainframe.' This release will contain all 8 songs from our self-released CD 'Architecture of Oppression' however, these are completely new versions of the songs! Against the Plagues also issued the following update about parting ways with their guitarist:
"We would to clear the air and clarify all the rumors regarding our lineup changes. We had not yet posted any official statements regarding these changes because we had been busy with all our label-negotiations (re-mastering our self-released album) along with preparing for our upcoming video. Now, we feel that it is time to officially announce that our original guitarist Adrian Adamus is no longer member of Against the Plagues. In short, Adrian had decided to part ways with the band (and extreme music) right now in order to focus on his personal/family life. We respect his decision and wish him the very best.
"Now, we are extremely proud to announce that Marco Martell (Malevolent Creation, Divine Empire, Cult of Azazel) is handling the guitarist position now and will be participating with the song writing process for the next album. Marco is an accomplished guitarist with the versatility, speed, and skill that the 'ATP style' demands. We are very excited about the 'official' release of our debut album along with the new material that we have planned. Against he Plagues is currently completing a music video for the song "Great are the Eyed" filmed in February in Miami with directors Eduardo and Gregg Alvarez from Elephas Productions. The song comes off the band's new album "Decoding the Mainframe" which will be officially release in Europe in March 31st via Vic Records. The clip will make its online debut next month.

RIBSPREADER, the Swedish "old-school death metal" band featuring guitarist/vocalist/bassist Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER, CARVE, HUMANITY DELETE, DEMIURG) and ANOTHER LIFE guitarist Andreas 'Dea' Karlsson, has finished recording the as-yet untitled follow-up to 2009's "Opus Ribcage" for a spring/summer release via Vic Records. Drumms on this album by the Liklukt master drummer Brynjar Helgetun, by far the best Drummer Rib ever had! Accoording to Rogga the 4th full length Ribspreader album will be more like the classic debut..........
The CD is being mixed/mastered by Patrick Bruss at the Filth Chamber in Denver, Colorado, USA and features the following recording lineup:

There has been some changes in the Sear Bliss camp. There will be some new exciting releases coming up this year. Here is what the band stated about the line up changes and upcoming releases:
'Though some important changes happened in the Sear Bliss camp last year, there was no official statement here so far, as we decided to be in silence for some time. We concentrated only on the band, new songs, etc instead. What actually happened is that due to the disagreement and lack of chemistry among the bandmembers, the legacy of Sear Bliss will be carried on by a new line-up, which isn't really new actually. The band, which is still led by Andras is joined by the original guitar duo from the classic line-up of Sear Bliss, namely Janos Barbarics and Csaba Csejtei. Both of them played and took a very important role in Sear Bliss from the very beginning, being responsible for the sound of the band. Janos played on The Pagan Winter, Phantoms and Haunting albums and was the member of the band from 1993 to 1999. Csaba played on The Pagan Winter, Phantoms, Forsaken Symphony and Glory And Perdition album and was the member of Sear Bliss between 1994-1997 and 2001-2005.
On drums we have Olivier Zisko, who played and was responsible for many of the songs on the critcally acclaimed Forsaken Symphony album, though he played the keyboards back then. Being a highly professional drummer, his contribution will significantly raise the quality, intensity and power of Sear Bliss's music. As for the brass, we have a very talented young guy, Balazs Bruszel, playing the trumpet. We already had a few shows with this line up at the end of last year in Holland, Switzerland and Slovenia and the outcome was more than promising. We are heading to this new year with refreshed energy, unsurpassable perseverance and great plans, eager to show where we are after 16 years of existence with people who already proved they are capable for something really unique. Many quality live shows are planned for 2010, some of them are already revealed in the Upcoming Shows section of our myspace site.
There is also a new album in the making, which we plan to record in the summer, again for Candlelight Records. Meanwhile Vic Records is re-releasing all our previous albums with many extras. Plus the long awaited 15th year anniversary DVD entitled the "15th Commandment" will be out soon on Vic Records as well. Andras besides Sear Bliss is focusing on his other musical projects too, such as Forest Silence, Nefarious and Star-Crossed (on Vic Records). Some materials are expected by these acts too. will soon be available as downloadable content
for the Rock Band video game on the Xbox 360.
A 10 minute edit of the
track “Descend into the Eternal Pits of
Possession” (the maximum song length allowed by
the Rock Band Network) has been charted and will
be available on the service shortly after launch
date (TBA).
The track will be downloadable for 160 MSP or
roughly $2.00. The song is off the band's most
recent album: “The Lustrate Process,” released
in 2009 and available now
through Vic Records.

DEADMARCH
is the first version of The
Project Hate MCMXCIX. Just like
The Project Hate MCMXCIX,
Deadmarch is Lord K. Philipson’s
(God Among Insects & Odyssey,
tour session for Grave, Dark
Funeral) brainchild together
with Mia Stahl on female vocals
and Mikael Öberg, growls. The
DEADMARCH album 'The Project
Hate MCMXCIX: Initiation of
blasphemy' is recorded back in
1998 with Tomas Skogsberg at the
famous Sunlight Studios in
Stockholm, Sweden (Entombed,
Dismember Grave etc).
The
initial plan was to record some
extra vocals with Jörgen
Sandström (ex Grave / Entombed,
now The Project Hate and Krux)
and to release the DEADMARCH
album under the The Project Hate
MCMXCIX moniker. Strangely,
Skogsberg told Philipson the day
before he was to enter the
studio with vocalist Sandström
that he had lost the master
tapes. So the DEADMARCH album
release was put on ice until Vic
Records signed The Project Hate
as it was obvious this pearl had
to be released.
The
album is finally mastered by Dan
Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia,
Dissection) at Unisound, Sweden,

1988 Expulsion was formed out of
the ashes of thrash band River's
Edge. River's Edge vocalist
Johan Edlund went on to start

Lagergren and drummer Calle
Fransson continued to play
together, as Expulsion. Anders

Records. Thornell says, "it'll be, as I see it, a
good value for the money release with a bonus live DVD
filmed in Holland back in 2004. Am quite eager myself to
see it actually! Haven't seen a second of it yet. Just
remember a review from that gig saying that we sucked 'cos
I wore a SPICE GIRLS t-shirt and that is unacceptable 'cos
it's so not serious bla bla bla...! Quite funny, as I
said before the gig that I just gotta wear it 'cos it'll
always annoy someone, he he! The show was filmed by
Maurice (from the great band LEGION OF THE DAMNED) and
his crew, by the way."
HEARSE filmed a video for the new song "Sundown" (audio stream) on
February 7 in Stockholm with Owe Lingvall and Oscar from
Village Road Film. The group previously said, "[Owe and
Oscar were] very nice dudes indeed and great to work
with. [We] also really like the stuff they have done
before (THE RASMUS, CARNAL FORGE etc.), so [we are]
pretty sure we will end up with a nice HEARSE video
too!"

Hi all!
We have now got the "go ahead" to announce that we've
inked a new deal with the Dutch label
Vic Records. We are all
very excited and really looking forward to start
cooperating, to say the least.
At the moment we are in the midst of pre-producing
"Dying Codex", our 3rd album-to-be, and we will then
spend June, July and August recording the album for
real, on various occasions and locations. When
everything is recorded and done, it will be mixed and
mastered by Tomas "Plec" Johansson, who is now also a
member of Torchbearer, at his Panic-Room studios, for a
possible late November release through
Vic Records.
As for the current line-up, we have gone through some
changes since last time round, with the addition of two
new live wires to the TB-family. We'd like to welcome

HEARSE
NEW HEARSE ALBUM!!!
‘Single Ticket to Paradise’ is HEARSE’s
brand new fifth full length album. Formed in
2001 shortly after Johan Liiva left ARCH
ENEMY and joined forced again with his
long-time buddy Max Thornell. The two used
to be in the legendary act FURBOWL in the
early 90’s. HEARSE are definitely one of the
highlights of the death ‘n roll metal sub
genre.
Johan’s charismatic vocals, the never ending and
ultra melodic leads by guitar player Matthias
Ljung and the pounding and effective drums by
Max, makes HEARSE an unique band within the wide
metal borders. The album is produced by Dan
Swanö (Opeth, Katatonia, Dissection).
The album has a bonus DVD 'Live In Holland' containing 5 live tracks,
filmed and edited by Maurice Swinkels (Legion of
the Damned), a massive picture chapter and the
video for the track 'Sundown', edited by Owe
Lingvall (Nocturnal Rites, Wolf, Stratovarius).

Alrighty,
we have just filmed Hearse..s first video clip.
Owe and Oskar from Village Road Film popped up in Stockholm last
Saturday to film it all. Very nice dudes indeed
and great to work with. I also really like the
stuff they have done before (The Rasmus, Carnal
Forge etc.), so I am pretty sure we will end up
with a nice Hearse video too! Keep your eyes and
ears open! It will most likely also pop up on
this site within a near future!
Oh, by the way the song
that we made the video for is called
Sundown
and will show up on Hearse..s 5th album that
will see the light of day in May.

years after ABSTRAKT ALEGEBRA's debut album, the
guitar duo Mike Wead (King Diamond / Mercyful
Fate / Memento Mori, ex Candlemass) and Simon
Johansson (Memory Garden / ex Steel Attack /
Fifth Reason) is back. BIBLEBLACK is the 2007
Grammy Nominee MIKE WEAD's brainchild.
Furthermore BIBLEBLACK is Simon Johansson on
rhythm guitars, Tobhias Ljung (The Bereaved) on
drums and Nattas members Kacper Rozanski on
vocals and Jonaz Bülund on bass. Clean guest
vocals are done by Ronny Hemlin (Steel Attack /
Tad Morose), Kristian Andrén (Memento Mori /
Fifth Reason) and Matthias Ljung (Hearse). The
album is mixed by Fredrik Groth (The Storyteller).
Outstanding artwork was made by Hjules (Memory
Garden / Gravedigger / Annihilator). The album 'The
Black Swan Epilogue' will be released in 2
different formats: limited edition digipack with
additional art work and the regular jewel case
with a bonus DVD.
'Though some important changes happened in the Sear Bliss camp last year, there was no official statement here so far, as we decided to be in silence for some time. We concentrated only on the band, new songs, etc instead. What actually happened is that due to the disagreement and lack of chemistry among the bandmembers, the legacy of Sear Bliss will be carried on by a new line-up, which isn't really new actually. The band, which is still led by Andras is joined by the original guitar duo from the classic line-up of Sear Bliss, namely Janos Barbarics and Csaba Csejtei. Both of them played and took a very important role in Sear Bliss from the very beginning, being responsible for the sound of the band. Janos played on The Pagan Winter, Phantoms and Haunting albums and was the member of the band from 1993 to 1999. Csaba played on The Pagan Winter, Phantoms, Forsaken Symphony and Glory And Perdition album and was the member of Sear Bliss between 1994-1997 and 2001-2005.
Against the Plagues' co-founder Varyen Chylinsky states:
"I am very excited to announce and confirm that we have signed with Vic
Records. As a result of this cooperation, we have decided to release our official album, "DECODING THE MAINFRAME". This release will contain all 8 songs from our self-released CD "Architecture of Oppression" ; however, these are completely new versions of the songs! All songs are re-mastered and mixed by one of the best producers in the metal world - Dan Swano (EDGE OF SANITY, AEON, DISSECTION, KATATONIA, MARDUK ). There is no doubt that the production is absolutely amazing! We decided to improve the sound with slightly-modified arrangements of the songs, along with mixing and mastering
For now, I would say this is our first 'official ' product that sounds as a high quality world class album should sound! Of course we've added several new things to make this release a bit, more special. We've improved album cover and the whole, CD layout; plus we have added more new pictures of the band along with a few-other new, bonuses
This new album will be arriving in stores this coming March.
We have collaborated on a piece of work that we are all very proud of. With the help of Vic
Records and Dan Swano, we have created a phenomenal album as it was orginally intended to be.
