They are well known by the singular artwork in the first four albums, which contain cartoons of savage animals made by Sebastian Krüger (Destruction, Tankard, Running Wild , Sodom). Featuring singer, vocalist and producer Heimi Mikus who produced besides all Risk album also Morgoth, Despair and Raven albums) and guitar player Romme Keymer (ex Angel Dust). Their first release was The Daily Horror News in 1988, then the band released LP per year in a prolific carrier up to five albums and one EP. They started out quite successfully, sold 25,000 units of their 1990 album Dirty Surfaces and went on tour with Manowar, Rage and Sabbat. CIANIDE’s first two albums re-issue
Late March 2025
Rising from the depths of Chicago, Cianide released their highly proclaimed debut in 1992. Cianide’s second album "A Descent Into Hell." is by many considered as their finest hour, Pure, doom death metal and after 30 years after its initial issue 1994's "A Descent Into Hell" is finally available on CD once again. Massive true death metal that Cianide has been delivering for almost forty years. The Dying Truth is Cianide’s debut, originally released in 1992 and now re-issued. This expanded edition shows the band at their most basic. The Dying Truth is rudimentary in execution yet effective in the end, with doomed-down Hellhammer / Celtic Frost riffs. With their mixture of death and crawling doom, Cianide can be compared to Autopsy, mixed with Bolt Thrower. This re-issue comes with a complete new layout made from the original artwork, lyrics from all songs, band pictures, and last but certainly not extensive liner notes by Pim Blankenstein.
